FauxCart

Founder's Note

I built FauxCart because I noticed how good it felt to just add things to a cart — before I'd even decided to buy anything. That feeling seemed worth building an entire experience around, on its own, honestly, with nothing to sell at the end of it.

The ambition was never really "a fake ordering app." It was to build the most obsessive, most considered food experience I could — something closer to a luxury editorial or a museum than a menu, where every dish has a real history, every ingredient has a real source, and even an imaginary purchase produces a real feeling. Somewhere between fantasy shopping, food discovery, and a little bit of honesty about money.

This is a simulation, built carefully, and I'd rather you know that up front than have you find out by accident. Enjoy the cart.
